Alexandria Superintendent Morton Sherman last week named Stephen Colantouni the new executive associate principal at T.C. Williams High School, a new role for Colantuoni on the T.C. Williams administrative team.

As the executive associate principal, Colantuoni will advise Principal William Clendaniel on instructional matters as well as coordinate the evaluation of the instructional staff and coordinate the development of new course offerings, prepare reports and assist with the development of the school budget, according to ACPS.

[Colantouni] has been an outstanding leader in [Alexandria City Public Schools] for many years, Sherman said. Teachers and students look to him as a role model.

Colantuoni began his career in Alexandria schools in 1998 as a team leader at Minnie Howard and in 2003 moved to T.C. Williams as an assistant principal. There he oversaw the implementation of the laptop initiative, supervised academy guidance counselors and coordinated class scheduling.
