On August 19 hometown legend and former professional athlete Earl Lloyd, the first black player in the National Basketball Association, spoke about his life, his struggles and his career to a packed crowd in the Charles Houston Recreational Center. During his nearly one and a half hour presentation, Lloyd touched on everything from LeBron James to his new book Moonfixer.
