The St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes girls soccer squad heads into the playoffs as Independent School League co-champs, the private academy team’s first ISL season title.

The Saints cemented the achievement with a 4-2 win against Holy Child on October 27. Despite starting the second half with the game tied at 2-2, the Saints broke away late in the game. Senior Paige Patterson put the finishing touches on the victory with a late goal.

The win capped off a season that saw the Saints go 5-5-3 overall, but 4-0-2 in conference play. They share the ISL league title with first-place Maret heading into the playoffs. Tournament play began Wednesday, after the Times’ deadline.
