After narrowly beating Potomac School in late September, the St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Saints fell on hard times. They ended their season with a 56-21 loss to St. Albans on Saturday.
St. Albans quarterback Mike McCurdy led the Bulldogs to the victory after passing for 265 yards, including three touchdowns. Despite a 166-rushing-yard day by Saints running back Darius Manora, St. Stephen’s couldn’t keep up with McCurdy and company.
The season-ending loss is the sixth consecutive for a Saints squad that went 1-8 overall and 0-4 against conference rivals during the 2011 campaign.
