The St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Saints made history earlier this month, clinching the private school’s first Tip-off Tournament championship title.

Led by sophomore guard Kendall Taylor and junior forward Dyhamond Crenshaw, the Saints narrowly snuck by backyard rival Bishop Ireton and Norfolk Academy to secure the tournament title last weekend.

In recognition of their performances in the tournament’s 17th iteration, Crenshaw was named the tournament’s most valuable player and sophomore Gussie Johns was picked for the 2011 All-Tournament team.

The Saints return to regular action against Holton-Arms Tuesday and will take on Flint Hill Thursday.
