Except for a December loss to Paul VI Catholic, the Episcopal Maroon sport a blemish-free record. They added to their win column Friday with a victory over Bullis.

Though Episcopal enjoyed an early lead, the Bulldogs fought back in the second and third quarters. Despite outscoring the Maroon in those 16 minutes, Bullis couldn’t stay on top of Episcopal. The Maroon — ranked No. 6 in the region by the Washington Post — strung together a 24-point fourth quarter to secure a 62-57 win.

Twenty-five of those points came from junior guard Doug Chappelle, who is a rising star in the perennially powerful basketball program. Senior forward Arnaud Adala Moto also enjoyed a good night, scoring 19 and collecting 20 rebounds.

The 11-1 Maroon will look to build on their success at 6 p.m. tonight against an 8-8 Flint Hill squad.
