Carolyn Carnahan and Devon Halley will always remember their first home in Del Ray, and so will millions of Americans, thanks to HGTV and local real estate agent Sue Elbertson.

Producers of HGTV’s “My First Place,” a show that documents first-time homebuyers’ journey through the housing market, chose the couple and their agent, Elbertson, of Prudential PenFed Realty in Old Town, for a segment. Film crews are following the couple as Elbertson aids them through the process, said Choyce Bush of Prudential PenFed Realty.

“After looking at homes from Old Town to the West End, Sue has found the ‘perfect’ home for Devon and Carolyn in Del Ray,” Bush said. “Meanwhile, HGTV continues to shoot authentic scenes as Sue reveals information to the buyers, every step of the way.”

The show is scheduled to air in September.
