Patrick’s Maison Objet expands with new space

After nearly five years in the home décor business, local storeowners Troy Englert and Patrick Dempsey have opened a second location in Old Town to house their new furniture division.

The co-owners of Patrick’s Fine Linens and Home Décor at 106 N. St. Asaph st. selected a 9,000-square-foot location just a stone’s throw from their current digs to expand their operation after scouring the region for nearly a year. Customers can expect to find Hickory Chair Furniture Co. goods on display at Patrick’s Maison Objet at 118 N. St. Asaph St. as well as pieces from companies like Herron’s and Ralph Lauren.

“It’s nice that it’s close to our first store and for our customers that we already have here,” Englert said. “It’s a nice expansion to [showcase] the fuller and deeper depth of the lines we currently have for sale.”

The decision to expand came at the prompting of the companies they already carry, he said. Their operation is expanding in personnel as well as space with one new employee hired to work the store. They expect to hire two or three more in the coming weeks.
