The man wanted for holding up a 2900 block Duke St. Jiffy Lube at gunpoint earlier this month remains at large, city police say.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black man about 5-foot-10 with a slim build. Donning a gray jacket, dark pants, black and silver shoes, and a dark ski mask, the man walked into the automobile repair shop at 7:26 p.m. February 6 carrying a chrome handgun, said Jody Donaldson, department spokesman.
He demanded the manager turn over the shop’s bank deposit bag and forced the remaining employees to empty their pockets before fleeing on foot. Police would only say he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities do not believe the suspect repeated the crime at any other businesses in the immediate area.
