Kem and Phil McCombie, owners of north Old Town’s Thailand restaurant, are a planning commission vote away from moving to new digs at the corner of Montgomery and North Fairfax streets.

The couple, who also owns nearby Perks Coffee Shop, is proposing to reopen their six-year-old exotic eatery — with a menu featuring sushi and Thai staples — with 66 seats inside and 18 outside. Though they will serve beer, wine and mixed drinks on the premises, the restaurant will not boast a bar.

They expect to serve about 150 customers a day, seven days a week. For patrons on the go, the McCombies offer carryout and delivery orders.

The planning commission is expected to take up the SUP request at its March 8 meeting.
