Alexandria police say vandals used a parking sign pole to smash the window of an 800 block King St. business overnight February 6.

One or more individuals forced the sign pole through the window, damaging it, but didn’t get inside, said Jody Donaldson, department spokesman. Police did not identify the business.

A store employee reported the damage about 6 a.m. the next morning, said Donaldson. The storeowner left about 10 p.m. the night before, he said.

The suspects remain at large, and police do not have descriptions of any individuals wanted in connection with the incident.
