Alexandria police released the identity of a T.C. Williams student charged earlier this month and arrested three others in connection with two separate incidents where the students allegedly took nonconsensual “upskirt” photos of teachers during class.

Elias Castellon Diaz, 18, was arrested May 18 and is charged with illegally photographing a non-consenting person, a misdemeanor, police said. And on Thursday, police said they have charged three students in a similar incident that took place last month.

Two boys, 15 and 17, were charged with unlawful photography of another, police said, while another 17-year-old boy is charged with distribution of obscene material. All three teens were released into the custody of their parents.

Earlier this month, search warrant affidavits filed in Alexandria Circuit Court revealed investigations into two separate incidents of “upskirt” photography by T.C. Williams students. Alexandria City Public Schools spokeswoman Kelly Alexander said she couldn’t comment on the specifics of the case, but that generally, school officials follow the district’s student code of conduct in its disciplinary procedures.

“We are always looking into keeping the classrooms a safe place for both teachers and students,” Alexander said.
