Two of Alexandria-based United Way Worldwide’s top executives participated in a national nonprofit summit last week.

United Way Worldwide President and CEO Brian Gallagher and U.S. President Mary Sellers appeared on Oct. 31 on a panel of 11 national nonprofit leaders at the SunTrust Foundation National Financial Well-Being Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.

The second annual SunTrust summit also included executives from nonprofits like Junior Achievement USA, the Boys & Girls Club of America and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

This summit focused on how nonprofit organizations and foundations can collaborate to support “financial well-being,” including education and counseling, as well as career readiness and entrepreneurship, according to a news release.
