Hello Alextimes,
I know what you mean, Present polling suggests that Us residents remain unscathed from fears of imminent and foreseeable future terror attacks on U.S. soil. Because November 2001, the Gallup Poll has questioned Americans about their thoughts in relation to terrorism occurring inside of the United States. At any granted time, only about 5 - 14 % of Us residents polled have mentioned that they are Especially nervous that they or people in their friends and family would turned out to be a victim of terrorism. Close to fifty five% answered that they ended up both not to anxious, or not nervous at all. When asked if they felt that there would be more functions of terrorism in the United States the majority responded that it wasn't too probable or not possible at all. When polled about what the priorities for Congress and the President had been, National Stability was rated seventh falling powering the environment and pollution.
Nice One!

Not that it is any of Ms. Gordon's business, but I resigned because I was burned out. I had served continuously on BFAAC since I was appointed as an at-large representative in 1996 (when Vice Mayor Donelly was the Mayor). In fact, some claim I am the longest-serving member in the history of BFAAC, although I do not know that to be accurate.

Before the election of Councilwoman Hughes, I told then-chief Financial Officer Bruce Johnson and other members of BFAAC, including Dak Hardwick, that I likely would leave after that budget cycle. AFter her election, Councilwoman Hughes asked me to serve as her representative. I agreed to do so with the understanding that I would serve just one more budget cycle.

Hi Gail,

I have to admit I am not the most qualified person to speak about Dr. Sherman and his history with ACPS but, I can speak to what I've seen and what I have spoken out against.

It is my opinion that Dr. Sherman sees ACPS as a business model where the "Brass" get paid first and the resource or product (the children) are tended to second.

Any Superintendent that is willing to make cuts to a school system that will negatively affect the children inside the schools - but then chooses to allocate a great deal of funds to his own office - has his priorities way out of whack.

Additionally, I believe that FULL creation and oversight of the ACPS budget should be taken away from the Superintendent and School Board and should be a joint effort with the City Manager and City Council as well so as to prevent mis-use of funds and poor resource allocation.

It seems bizarre to me that someone in this day and age would be unable to obtain a photo ID. It also seems insane to allow a person without one to vote! Who ARE these people who cannot get the simplest of IDs?

I found the parade a dim shade of those of only 25 years ago. I appreciate the communities need to celebrate organizations within our community, but more imagination should be required to participate and recapture the sentiment and patriotism of not-so-long ago. Did anyone else find odd that an escort car for a chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was a British Cooper Mini? Wasn't there an American Ford available in a member's garage?

I disagree. I think the Seminary should be required to restore the historic seminary as part of any appoval of other plans. Neither the BAR, or the city has any juridiction over the interior, so if it is not used as a chapel, ther is nothing that can be done about that, so it could be put to another purpose, but it should be restored.
