Fall finally came to Alexandria last weekend, just in time for Halloween. Witches, ghosts, goblins, fairy princesses and some indescribable beings from other worlds made Mt. Vernon Ave. their own in this years version of the Del Ray Halloween Parade. As always, dogs and other pets were not left out of the festivities and awarded prizes for the best costume. Treats were plentiful for two and four-legged participants. Many of the same costumes were seen again Wednesday night as All Hallows Eve officially ushered in the special night of trick or treating.
