This Saturday, May 19, is Armed Forces Day a chance to thank our veterans. But our nation has also shown its gratitude in more tangible ways, through the Veterans Administration Home Loan Guarantees.

Here in Alexandria, on one day in May, the two properties that came closest to reaching the loan guarantee limit were both Oxford model  townhouses in Hayfield, at $414,900 each.

Built in 1983, they both feature vinyl siding exteriors, full kitchens, finished walk-out basements, patios and assigned parking. They also have 3 bedrooms with 3.5 baths and 4 bedrooms with three baths, respectively. The schools are Hayfield Elementary, Middle and High.
