Protest goes to NYC. Starting at Market Square Old Town by a local group of 32 Alexandria women on the heels of the Virginia Tech tragedy, a movement has been launched protesting the easy acquisition of guns. Since then, 10 protests have been staged in 5 states, notably a big NYC-32 event, which occurred recently with Abigail Spangler present, the original Alexandria-32 leader. Spangler reported, It was a huge success and Mayor Bloomberg even met with us about this issue right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Times Square!
