Local biker Howard Clark is spreading the word about the Hokie Spirit Memorial Ride, a motorcycle run in support of the Virginia Tech victims. The ride will leave from the Rappahannock County High School at 8:00 on Saturday, June 2, and travel to Blacksburg. The cost will be a $20 donation per bike.
All proceeds will be donated to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, the official memorial fund founded by Virginia Tech. The fund will be used to offer assistance to Virginia victims and their families.
“I want to get a full group of bikers to join us,” Clark said, “if I have less than 1000 people I will be disappointed.”
Clark urges all citizens and business owners to contribute to the ride fund, as the group will present their donation to Virginia Tech officials when they reach Blacksburg.
