We want to hear what Old Town means to the couples relationship, a story which shares the connection of Old Town to a romance.
The holidays mark a popular time for engagements, and wedding planning is at once in full swing, Egan said. We typically begin booking weddings immediately in December and January.
Highly experienced in the wedding business, the Hilton helps approximately 50 couples tie the knot each year.
Tell your story
The application deadline is Jan. 24, 2008, and on Jan. 31 the 10 finalists will have an opportunity to tell their stories before a panel of judges, which includes former Hilton brides and mothers-of-the-brides as well as the vendors involved. The winning couple will be selected from this exercise.
A no-lose proposition for all couples, every entry will be given a gift from participating vendors, which include Circe Day Spa, Foxglove Flowers and Robert Cummings Photography of Old Town.

From the cake to the music, the decisions are left up to the couple with the guidance of Hiltons seasoned Wedding Coordinator Lindsay Kahler.
The winning couple will have the privilege of going through the process of choosing and personalizing their special day absolutely. It is important to realize that each vendor has a capped amount, but within that dollar amount, the decisions are left to the couple, Egan said.
We want to draw attention to the fact that Old Town is a charming, upscale wedding destination, said Egan, who is working with Alexandria Convention and Visitors Association to more aggressively grow Alexandrias wedding business.
