Local story tellers and musicians entertained families in the walled boxwood garden at Mount Vernon Unitarian Church recently on Windmill Lane. 

 
The program was a fundraiser for the natural playground project which is already underway.  Natural playgrounds blend natural materials and indigenous vegetation with creative landforms in ways designed to both challenge and fascinate children. 
 
The playground is a project of Mount Vernon Unitarian Church and Fort Hunt Preschool which includes a giant story-telling chair, tree stump listening seats and a mud daub/bamboo hut.
