Kevin C. Davis, a founding General Partner of the Vulcan Partners, haaded to Baghdad last week to check on its investment in Vulcan Amps, LLC. Davis led an investment team that acquired select power plant assets from Enron, including Vulcan Advanced Mobile Power Systems (AMPS), which manufactures some of the worlds largest portable power generators and were the first new post-war power plants installed in Iraq.
Davis has almost two decades of experience as a private equity investor and legal advisor structuring corporate transactions across a range of industries and continents.
Prior to Vulcan, Davis practiced law with Debevoise & Plimpton and OSullivan Graev & Karabell, specializing in private equity and corporate transactions. He has also played an important role in excess of $10 billion dollars in M&A transactions and corporate restructurings.
Davis is Chairman of Vulcan Capital Management, Inc., Vulcan Power Group, and Vulcan Energy Solutions. Mr. Davis is a partner of Palo Duro Wine Partners, and Oxbridge Capital Group. He also serves on the board of directors of North Carolina Power Holdings, VWVulcan Energy Ltd., Intellicoat Technologies LLC, Harlem Day Charter School, and Sheltering Arms.
Davis graduated with an A.B. degree in Political Economy from Princeton University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
