


The Alexandria Seaport Foundation has elected David Kiernan as its new Chairman of the Board, replacing Duncan Blair, of Land, Clark, Carroll, Mendelson and Blair.
Mr. Blair was Chairman of the Board for three years and will continue as a Board member going forward. Kiernan is a law partner with Williams and Connolly in Washington DC. He is a graduate of Duke University and holds both a law degree as well as a medical degree. He has been a long time supporter of the Alexandria Seaport Foundation and has also served on the Board of Directors. David resides in Old Town with his wife, Mandy, and his two sons.
The Seaport Foundation also elected five new members to the Board. Theo Androus is an Alexandria native, a motivational speaker and a community activist. He has been designing, leading and promoting personal and professional development programs for the past seventeen years. He and his wife, Terry, live in Alexandria with their three children.
Mat Pasquale is a retired educator who worked for Alexandria City Public Schools for 37 years where he was Director of Career and Technical Education. Mat and his wife live in Springfield.
Matt Herrington is an attorney with Steptoe and Johnson in Washington, DC. Matt first became interested in the Alexandria Seaport Foundation when he came to build his own boat. He is now very active in our Apprentice Program which helps at-youth risk acquire carpentry skills through the building of wooden boats. Matt lives in Washington with his wife, Alison and their three sons.
Jay Creech is a retired Verizon executive who has been a very active member of ASF. He is a boat designer who has put many hours into the Foundation as an instructor, teaching at-risk youth to build wooden boats. Jay and his wife, Kimberly, have two children who are both very involved in ASF.
Scott Price is the Executive Director of the Virginia High-Tech Partnership which links Historically Black Colleges and Universities with technology companies, government agencies and other organizations from around the country. Scott is a 1993 graduate of the University of Virginia and serves on many Boards in the Washington area. He lives with his wife, Sonia, and their son in Alexandria.
