- Alexandria Police arrest suspect in abduction and sexual battery
Alexandria Police have arrested a man for the abduction and sexual battery of a woman in the West End of Alexandria. Noe Salomon Viera- Lazo, a 26 year-old Arlington man, is charged with Attempted Rape, Abduction and Sexual Battery.
On February 23, at approximately 12:10 A.M., Viera-Lazo attacked his victim at the intersection of King Street and South 28th Street. He approached the victim, a 36 year-old Arlington woman, from behind and attempted to pull her into a nearby park. The victim struggled and Viera-Lazo fled the scene.
- Indecent exposureat bus stop
A 15-year-old Alexandria-area girl was the victim of an indecent exposure Thursday, Feb. 28. She was waiting for the school bus at Spring Faire Court and Hayfield Road in the Kingstowne area around 6:40 a.m.
A man driving an older model, gold car with four doors pulled up next to her and asked for directions. The girl walked closer and the man exposed himself. She ran home and the suspect fled. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as black, in his 20s.
