Suspects sought in Annandale-area robbery and beating


A 27-year-old man was attacked with a baseball bat and robbed on Sunday, June 22 at around 4 a.m. The man was walking westbound along Little River Turnpike near Edward Street when he was approached and assaulted. The victim crawled into a ditch and a drain pipe to escape his attackers. Money was stolen from him during the assault. The suspects then fled.

The victim was treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

There are two suspects, both described as Hispanic men between the ages of 18 and 20 years old. One suspect wore a green shirt and gray pants.
