On behalf of the Friends of Dyke Marsh I would like to thank you for publishing John Arundels fine article “Saving a Sanctuary” concerning the National Park Services opening presentation on studying the restoration of this fine wildlife preserve.
It provides a good account of both the interest and value of the Duke Marsh Wildlife Preserve and the well-attended meeting kicking off the Park Services study of restoration and maintenance options. Your paper does a valuable service in calling attention to important local issues such as this and the quality and depth of the reporting reflects a high level of professionalism.
I look forward to reading more in your paper as this project progresses. Thanks again for your close coverage of important local issues.
