HOMICIDE/ARREST:
3700 block of Mark Drive. 07/13 at 1:11 A.M. Officers were called to respond for the report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, who suffered trauma to the upper body. The man died at the scene. Deshawn Thomas Marshall, 20, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with Murder.
FELONIOUS ASSAULT/ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
100 block of South Royal Street. 07/12 at 1:30 A.M. The victim, a 38 year-old Alexandria man, reports that two suspects approached him, demanded money and brandished a handgun. The victim received a gun shot wound to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’6″/170 lbs and wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0″, 175 lbs and wearing cut-off dark colored shirt and black jeans with braids.
ROBBERY FROM PERSON:
700 block of North Van Dorn Street. 07/11 at 1:20 A.M. The victim, a 37 year-old Alexandria man, reports that two unknown suspects approached him and brandished a handgun. The suspects demanded money and the victim complied. The suspects fled. There were no injuries.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 23 to 33 years-old, 05’09” to 06’00” with sideburns that came down to his jaw line and a thin beard. The second suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years-old, 05’09” to 06’00” and wearing jeans.
3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. 07/12 at 1:25 A.M. The victim, a 19 year-old Alexandria man, reports that three unknown males approached him, demanded his property and brandished a handgun.
The victim complied and the suspects fled. There were no injuries.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 15 to 20 years-old, 05’09” to 05’11”, 150 to 170 lbs and wearing a black jacket, black tank top and blue pants. The second suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 19 years-old, 05’03” to 05’05”, 140 to 150 lbs and wearing a black t-shirt. The third suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 19 years-old, 05’04” to 05’06”, 150 to 160 lbs.
1200 block of Colonial Street. 07/12 at 10:20 P.M. The victim, a 24 year-old Silver Spring woman, reports that three unknown suspects approached her, demanded her property and brandished a handgun. The victim complied and the suspects fled. There were no injuries. The suspects are described as black males, 05’09” to 05’11”, 160 to 170 lbs and wearing dark clothing.

1993 Toyota Camry, white.
Intersection of South Columbus and Church Streets. Between 07/10 at 9:00 A.M. and 07/13 at 11:21 P.M. 1999 Ford Taurus, 4-door, dark green.
6200 block of Edsall Road, 07/13 between 2:00 A.M. and 3:00 A.M.
1995 Honda Odyssey, van, silver.
400 block of Armistead Street. 07/13 between 8:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M.
2004 Jeep Liberty, sport-utility, tan.
