2008 Ambassador City Award Presentation
The City will be recognized as a 2008 Ambassador City at a ceremony at
1 p.m. in the Vola Lawson Lobby of City Hall, 301 King St. This award, to be presented to Mayor William D. Euille by the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National Association of Realtors, recognizes the partnership between the City and the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors in providing homeownership education for low- and moderate-income City residents and City and school workers, and for their foreclosure prevention education initiative.

Jane Austen Dance Class
In preparation for the Jane Austen Ball on August 9, learn 18th-century English country dancing from expert dance instructors at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, 134 North Royal St. The class is scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and costs $12.
