


Robbery/Carjacking
July 27 at 2:15 p.m.
5400 block of Roanoke Avenue.
A 21 year-old City resident was robbed by a suspect who took the victims vehicle as he waited for a locksmith to assist in gaining access to it after a previous theft of the same vehicle. After a brief struggle, the suspect drove off in the vehicle, which was recovered nearby. The suspect is described as a black male, 20-35 years old, wearing a black polo shirt and blue jeans. There were no injuries.
July 27 at 7:00 p.m.
5818 Duke Street
A 37 year-old Alexandria man was robbed at gunpoint of his vehicle and personal property. The suspects are three black males, 18-25 years-old, wearing baggy blue jeans and white t-shirts. There were no injuries. U.S. Park Police recovered the vehicle in Washington, D.C., on July 29.
July 23 at 10:20 p.m.
3400 block of Helen Street
A 46 year-old City resident reports that he was robbed by two suspects who punched and kicked him and took personal property. The suspects are described as black males in their early twenties, wearing dark clothing and ball caps. The victim sustained non life-threatening injuries.
Robbery/Arrest
July 30 at 9:30 p.m.
400 block of East Glendale Avenue.
A 45 year-old City resident was robbed by a juvenile suspect who grabbed her purse and pulled it from her grasp, knocking her to the ground. Alexandria Police stopped the suspect a few blocks away. The stolen property was recovered in the area. The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries at a local hospital. The juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with robbery and felonious assault.

2600 block of Mount Vernon Avenue
Five black males accosted a 21 year-old Alexandria resident, was accosted by five black males, who punched him and robbed him of personal property. A short time later a 17 year-old juvenile was arrested in the 1300 block of Wythe Street. The property was recovered. There were no injuries.
Robbery Case Updates/Arrests
Police arrested Jermaine Lamont Jackson, of Dunster Court in Alexandria, for the three robbery cases listed below. In addition, detectives arrested an Alexandria juvenile and Wilson Quiroga, of Leebrad Street in Springfield, Virginia, for their involvement in the Derby Court robbery on March 18.
February 1 at12:20 a.m.
4700 block of Kenmore Avenue
Two Alexandria men, 21 and 19 years old, reported that two unknown suspects approached them in the parking lot, produced a pistol and demanded cash and property. The suspects were last seen heading in the direction of Seminary Road on foot. The suspects are only described as black males wearing all black clothing.
March 18 at 12:05 p.m.
5600 block of Derby Court
A 29 year-old Alexandria man reported that he was assaulted and robbed by three unknown suspects in the parking lot. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
March 21 at 12:05 a.m.
1400 block of North Beauregard Street
A 45 year-old Alexandria man reported that he was assaulted and robbed by three unknown suspects in the parking lot. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts.
