Police are seeking suspects in an apparent malicious wounding and robbery of two men that took place Saturday, July 19 around 3:45 a.m.

An Alexandria-area man and a man from Hyattsville, Md., both 24 years old, were standing in front of an apartment building in the 4500 block of Colony Court when they were approached by a group of men. The men allegedly struck one of the victims with a pistol. The other victim was struck in the head. The suspects then stole money from both victims and fled the area. The injured victim was transported to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as black and wearing dark clothing. There may have been five or six suspects.
