New Hope Housing will hold its Winter Soiree on Friday at the Belle Haven Country Club. Well-known political reporter and analyst John Harwood, Chief Washington Correspondent for CNBC is the featured speaker for this event that helps raise support for New Hope Housings shelter and housing programs and support services.

Valentine Catalogue Auction The Potomack Company
Featuring a large collection of wine, selection of jewelry and other items for your valentine! To complement this auction, our new fine wine specialist Jason Whiteside will be available in the gallery during preview hours on Saturday, February 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to discuss buying and selling wines.

7 Sopranos Valentine Concert
How Many Divas Can One Stage Hold? Join Alexandrias newest singers ensemble as they present a celebration of all things soprano in their concert, The Many Faces of Love. Tickets are $17.00 or two for $20.00 at the door. The concert will be hosted by Convergence, A Creative Community of Faith at 1801 N Quaker Lane Alexandria VA 22302 at 7:30 pm.

West End Presidential Primary Extravaganza
A pre-presidential-primary forum for the community to learn about the political process, have a voice in their community, meet local elected officials and representatives from the Democratic Presidential campaigns. Complimentary food, live music by The Constituents, activities for children.  Free.  Sponsored by the Alexandria Democratic Committee, 2 – 4 pm, at the Cameron Station Community Center, 200 Cameron Station Blvd.

The Campagna Center and its Business Leadership Council Distinguished Speaker Series welcomes members of the City of Alexandrias Mayors Economic Sustainability Work Group, a committee created to study the economic challenges and opportunities facing Alexandria in the coming years. Feb. 13
In celebration of Valentines Day, barbershop quartets from the award-winning Alexandria Harmonizers will be delivering Singing Valentines to wonderfully surprised sweethearts in homes, offices, hospitals, and restaurants across Northern Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan Area. Quartets in white tie and tails will deliver a song, a personalized card and a sweetheart rose and chocolates for a donation of $50, Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 13 – 16, between 9 am and 10 pm. The fashion forward of Northern Virginia will be making dramatic statements with the latest trends in jewelry and fashion accessories, as the International Gem & Jewelry Show rolls into town February 15 – 17 at the Dulles Expo Center.  Admission is $7.  Show hours are Friday, noon-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
