On Wednesday, Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin spoke to more than 20,000 ethusiastic supports at Van Dyke Park in Alexandria, Fairfax County. The event was originally slated for Fairfax High School, but campaign staff shifted plans when they saw a high demand for tickets. McCain and Palins visit is yet another sign of Virginias inportance as a battleground state in this election.
