I want to update you on Pink, the albino Doberman I wrote about two weeks ago. So many people have asked about her and I am so pleased that you enjoyed her story. On Friday after the paper came out, Pinks owner, Kate Zapf, sent me this e-mail and gave me permission to share it with you.

We loved the article and I am so glad that it came out yesterday, Kate wrote. We had to let Pink go today. She deteriorated very quickly overnight and today she let us know it was time. My friend whos a vet was able to come over, and she went very peacefully curled up in her bed with us by her side. We miss her terribly, but I am so glad her story is out there so everyone knows how special she was. Rest in peace, Pink.
