A gas station employee was robbed early Tuesday morning in the Mount Vernon area. The employee, a 22-year-old Woodbridge man, was working behind the counter of the Sunoco gas station located at 8300 Richmond Highway. Around 2:50 a.m. on July 8, a teenage male entered the store and began talking to the employee. Two other teenage males then entered the store wearing bandanas that covered their faces. They produced knives and demanded money. The victim complied and all three suspects fled the store toward Russell Road with cash. No one was injured.
The first suspect was described as white, 15 to 16 years old. He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds with blond hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. The other two suspects were described as being 15 to 16 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and 140 pounds. One suspect was black and the race of the other was unknown. Both were wearing white T-shirts and dark pants.
