A major addition to the parking structures at Ronald Reagan National Airport is about to begin.

The renovation consists of 500,000 square feet of new parking decks and also includes the extension of the existing elevator and stair towers.  The project is an occupied renovation, and will be built over the course of five phases.  To minimize disruption as much as possible, construction will be performed on off-hours and nights.

The structure of the garage is post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete.  Landscaping, utility work and seismic bracing to the existing garage structure is also incuded in the project.

SIGAL Construction has been selected to perform the work.  The project team includes Girard Engineering, Urgan Engineers and Ammann & Whiteney, PC.
