The Little Theatre of Alexandria is celebrating it’s 75th birthday with a Diamond Anniversary Gala this Saturday, July 12.
Beginning with a “Footprints of LTA” walking tour, the evening begins at The Little Theatre’s home on Wolfe Street, then winds it’s way through the streets of Old Town to take in the sights of past LTA locations and productions.
One of those sights is the historic Gadsby’s Tavern, where LTA members and actors from over the years are expected to mingle. The evening winds down back at LTA with a dessert reception and musical theater sing-a-long.
LTA’s Diamond Jubilee season officially begins July 26 with an extended run of the a reception will be held and guests can view displays on the history of the theater and musical “1776.” Considered by many to be LTA’s signature show, the troupe will stage a free public performance August 21 at Fort Ward Park.
