


Three teenagers have been arrested for stabbing a student walking home from Mount Vernon High School on March 5, according to Fairfax Police.
Police said the crime is gang-related, and occurred when a car pulled up to the student and a passenger exited the vehicle, stabbing the victim in the arm.
The victim was able to identify the three suspects after he was hospitalized for the non-life threatening wound. The suspects were identified as two 17 year-old students and 18 year-old Jose Mejia-Pineda of Alexandria. Pineda was taken to county jail while the two juveniles were taken to Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, according ti the Associated Press.
