Virginia Secretary of Transportation Pierce R. Homer, an Alexandria native, will return to his home town Monday to headline a public policy forum on transportation issues.
Alexandria Transportation: Running on Empty? will feature Homer, who has served as the Commonwealths Secretary of Transportation since he was appointed by Gov. Mark Warner and reappointed by Gov. Tim Kaine. The transportation discussion will be at the November meeting of Agenda: Alexandria, a non-partisan group that presents monthly dinner meetings with speakers who encourage dialogue about topics of current interest.
Appearing along with Secretary Homer will be Rich Baier, Alexandrias Director of Transportation and Environmental Service, and Stewart Schwartz, Executive Director of the Coalition for Smarter Growth.
