Brigitte Gina Brunelle, 28, of Alexandria, became the bride of Thomas F. O’Connor, 28, also of Alexandria in an Oct. 6 ceremony at St. Thomas a Becket Catholic Church in Reston.

The bride is the daughter of Bonita L. and Bernard G. Brunelle, of Chicopee. The bridegroom is the son of Loretta M. and Eugene P. O’Connor, of East Moriches, N.Y.

Jennifer-Kate Barret attended the bride as matron of honor. Russel Lamb served the bridegroom as best man.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and is pursuing her doctorate in geosciences from Princeton University.

The bridegroom received a doctorate in chemical engineering from Princeton University. He is an engineer at Exxon Mobil in Fairfax, Va.

A reception was held at Algonkian Regional Park Meeting Center in Sterling, and all other weekend events were held at the park.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Ireland and live in Alexandria.
