Alexandria police are investigating the citys fourth homicide of the year after the body of Juantissa Hill, 24, was found dead on the 300 block of South Van Dorn Street by officers responding to a welfare call Tuesday.
Officers originally went to Hills apartment at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after someone called police worried that Hill had not shown up for work in two days.
An autopsy report has not been released but Alexandria Police Spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt said Wednesday, It was a violent death and its being investigated as a homicide after originally being classified as a suspicious death.
At press time, there was no suspect or motive, but Hills car is missing. Police are on the lookout for the gray/silver four-door Nissan Altima with tinted windows and Michigan license plates reading BDE 4058.
