From members of President Barack Obamas Cabinet to high school students, hundreds of thousands of visitors will be descending on the Walter E. Washington Convention Center this week to get a look at the latest innovations in automotive technology.

On display through Feb. 8 are more than 700 new makes and models from 42 manufacturers displaying the latest designs in safety, smart technology and green innovations.

The newly debuted Fisker Karma sedan, shown above, is a luxury plug-in hybrid that gets up to 100 miles-per-gallon and is scheduled for delivery later this year.
