Diane Reese, the T.C. Williams High School Academy 1/STEP Center School counselor honored earlier this year as one of the countrys top 10 school counselors by the American School Counselor Association, has another award to add to her resume.

Last Week, the Business and Professional Womens League of Washington, D.C. recognized Reese with its Professional of the Year Award. Reese was nominated by a fellow Academy 1 teacher and was the only recipient in the field of education, earning the honor for her dedication to and as an advocate for education, according to ACPS.

On May 8, Reese is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on CNN Newsroom A.M. with Heidi Collins about ways in which current high school students can get the most out of their senior year in light of the current economy. The show is scheduled to air live at 10:30 a.m.
