Originally scheduled to coincide with the Alexandria Little Leagues Opening Day festivities, the T.C. varsity baseball Hit-a-thon will take place this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Simpson Field.

The Titan sluggers will be trying to knock the ball out of the park all day in an effort to raise funds to buy equipment and improve the playing field. For a nominal fee, you, too, can step up to the plate and see how far you can hit the ball, with prizes being awarded for the longest hit in different age groups. There will be Hard Times chili, T.C. gear and a speed gun for pitchers to help round out a day full of baseball.
