The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association recently named Titan senior Linzi Burstein to its 2008-2009 Academic All-American Team. This is the second national honor for Burstein this year, as she had already been selected as part of the 2008 National Academic Squad for high school field hockey by the National Field Hockey Coaches Assocation, according to Alexandria City Public Schools. Currently a part of the T.C. girls lacrosse team that stands at 10-3 as of April 27, she will head to Dickinson College this fall to play lacrosse.

According to tcwilliamsathletics.org, the following athletes have also committed to continue their athletics careers in college starting this fall:

Erika Weidman has signed with Virginia Tech for track and field; Larry Dow will swim for George Mason next year; Danielle Thorne has committed to play volleyball at St. Marys College (Md.); Emily Haitsuka will be a coxswain at Duquense University in Pittsburgh; Emily Jayne will row at the University of Wisconsin; Tom Lynam will row at Yale; Ian Waterhosue-Terrell will be a coxswain at Trinity College.
