At approximately 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, units from the Alexandria Fire Department responded to a general fire alarm at 2815 Duke St.

Upon arrival, fire crews reported heavy dark smoke emanating from a two-story commercial business townhouse.

The crews forced entry into the office space and quickly located the fire in a rear office. The fire was extinguished and contained to the space of origin.
The fire marshals investigation determined the fire to be accidental in nature, estimating the damage at $125,000.

The office space was condemned due to smoke and fire damage. No injuries were reported.
