Alexandria Community Trust has announced the launch of a new community calendar. Since its founding in 2004, ACT has been committed to engaging Alexandrians, innovating solutions and investing in actions that will make a real difference, resulting in a better Alexandria for all. The new calendar continues and expands this mission.

At the request of several donors, ACT has implemented a central calendar of nonprofit organization events. The community calendar can be found on ACTs new website, www.actforalexendria.org.
Nonprofits are encouraged to use the calendar to post and schedule events such as fundraisers, workshops, trainings and meetings (all events are subject to approval by ACT staff.) The calendar will serve as a single point of entry for donors to find out about nonprofits fundraisers and other activities. It also will help nonprofits avoid scheduling conflicts, so the greatest number of donors and volunteers can participate.
