Police Seek Robber Who Targeted Elderly Man

Alexandria police officers are investigating a robbery that occurred in the 300 block of Pendleton Street. 

On November 14 at around 5:15 p.m., a 77-year-old city resident was in his car, backing out of a parking space, when he noticed the suspect approaching him. The victim rolled down his window to talk with the suspect. After talking for a few minutes, the suspect pressed something hard against the victims neck and demanded money. The victim relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then ordered the victim to get out of the car and made him walk away as he fled the area. 

There were no injuries. 

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a baseball cap and dark jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
