The Weichert-Old Town office held its annual toy drive last month, collecting nearly 200 toys that were distributed over the holidays to children and families served by the Campagna Center.

I was very pleased to see how many toys we collected, said branch manager Kim Farina. I was concerned hearing news reports about other area drives not being as successful in this economy but we almost doubled what we collected last year.

Continuing a tradition that started 40 years ago when the firm was first founded, nearly 70 agents in the North Pitt Street office donated toys while others were collected from neighbors and friends in the community.

We even had a school hear about our drive and they donated a bunch of toys as well, Farina said. I cant thank the community enough for their efforts in making this a success for the Campagna Center.
