The George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee has announced the winners of their second annual “Cherry Challenge,” which took place during the week of February 1 to 7 and featured cherry-inspired dishes created by 12 participating restaurants. 

The winners:

Starters Category: BBQ Cherry Wings, Ramparts Tavern and Grill.

Entree Category: Duck a la Cherry,Murphy’s Irish Pub and Restaurant.

Drinks Category: Cherry-Mint Mojito, Tempo Restaurant

Dessert Category: Black Forest Crepe, Fontaine Caffe and Creperie.

Participating in this year’s contest were Brabo, Fontaine Caffe and Creperie, Indigo Landing, King Street Blues, Layla’s Lebanese Restaurant, Murphy’s Irish Pub, Rampart’s Tavern and Grill, Seagar’s, Shooter McGee’s, St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub, Union Street Public House and Tempo.
