


A total of 37 members of the Alexandria sheriffs office and police and fire departments will be honored Tuesday during the Alexandria Chamber of Commerces Valor awards program for the citys public safety members.
Names of the recipients will be announced at the noon luncheon at the Hilton Mark Center. Charles Mann, former Washington Redskins star and three-time Super Bowl player, will be master of ceremonies.
According to the Awards Committee, the honorees include one sheriffs office deputy, 23 police officers and 13 fire and EMS members.
The chamber welcomes the public to attend the luncheon program in which public safety members are praised for their heroism. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.alexchamber.org.
