A trio of bikers blaze down the Mt. Vernon trail that links Alexandria to the District on Bike to Work Day last Friday. The city hosted a pit stop at Market Square from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. where cyclists could pause for a water break and pick up a free T-shirt. About 7,500 people participated in the annual motor-less commute day, according to estimates by Alexandrias Local Motion transit organization.
